Photo Gallery

I’ve been fortunate to shoot photography for the past 3 years at the world class research institute, HHMI’s Janelia Research Campus where I work in scientific communications & outreach. I have the privilege of capturing photos of some of the most interesting and accomplished scientists from various backgrounds, fields, and career stages, and showcasing authentic curiosity, collaboration, and joy in scientific research.

The majority of my photography has been shot for the purpose of digital marketing and promotion, including web, social media, branded emails, and print.

I have a lot of fun with photography and always try to keep the atmosphere light. As somebody who is camera-shy myself, I’ve learned tips for prompts, posing tricks, and other techniques to get real people comfortable in front of the camera (I agree, they look like they could be models, but these are real scientists doing real and very cool research!).

This gallery includes natural light portraits, branded photography for marketing & digital media, and event photography from conferences & workshops. All photos were shot and edited by me.

In addition to the work featured on this page, I also partner with my spouse on our personal photography business, which is geared toward special moments and occasions like weddings, maternity, and intimate shots. View collection of our personal photography work.
